The majority of the mid week during the summer fairly quiet. The week of the Clark County Fair it`s dead. Nice cabins, fairly nice campground. Great fishing if you can read the patterns; there are some 10+ pd walleye and ODNR apparently shocked up several crappies larger than the current state record several years ago. Plus there are a few VERY large cats...
During mid-week your typically going to deal with 10 boats, until late afternoon...that's on 2200+ acres...our hidden gem...weekends are terrible after noon. Entering the Fall, you may see 5 boats. Like Lowell said, Cabins are superb, campgrounds are Very nice...electric, showers, etc.Quote:

I have been fishing CJ for about 6 years now. and agree over the years the fishing has gotten better and better. have had days where I was doing everything wrong and have had days where I could do no wrong. conditions are tough right now, I have been allover the lake this year and have fished so many new spots. the last time I was out it took me about 4 hours to figure out what they wanted. people need to remember a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work.
CJ now has warnings for e-coli....Due to raw sewage, feces, etc....wonderful!
Also an advisory to limit fish intake...I'm sorry, but I won't be keeping and eating any, anytime soon.

Went out this morning from about 7:15 to 11:30 and noticed a scum on the water that looked brown in the main lake. Makes me wonder if someone dumped or spread manure/sludge up stream before the last rain.Water temp was 75-78deg marked fish all over and with two boats out and three fishing,three fish caught I think until the water clears (find out what caused it) I WILL NOT be on CJ but will check in at the ODNR office to see about the water issues and whats being done next week.Quote:

The State blamed it on Sewage System overflow, bad Septic Systems, and yard fertilizer runoff....I guess Northridge is as crappy as they say!:):):)lol

What did they do not clean the beaches for a month and then wash it all in the lake? Put me on the list for the geese eradication posse.
Have access to a WW2 quad barrel 40MM Bofors anti-aircraft mount, any 40MM ammo out there ? Proximity rounds preferably...take out a WHOLE "V" of them at once with 1 round !
