    Default did well today


    not too bad for fishing today. my dad and myself caught 51 keepers. Caught about 30 and we were out of minnows. sent him back to the bait shop and caught 21 more until we were out of bait again. It got a little warm this morning but we had a lot of fun. some short fish and the occasional bait waster (catfish). but overall a good day and i got some more fillets in the freezer now!

    For August Crappie it sounds like You slayed them, I'm guessing You were fishing East Fork? in the Morning I'm headed back to Acton for a rematch Tom vs. Largemouth, last time the Largemouth won!

    I got out Sunday morning for a few hours with EFslabs. We fished jigs and cranks and did pretty good. Heat wasn't too bad in the morning but it sure started to heat up around 11 so we left.

    Well the Bass won again last Sunday at Acton, had one spit my lure then decided to switch gears and go back to Crappie fishing, I did pretty good vertical jigging deep brush piles, but did even better later in the afternoon when it got real hot, I fished a downed tree in 6ft of water with minnows under a bobber, caught around 20 on that tree was able to keep half of them with the biggest being 12 1/2".
    I've heard the crappie have been good at EF this year and plan on fishing the Fall bite seeing the wind and cold won this Spring.

    Probably got about 50 more today. Not sure of exact count yet. Pretty good day though.
