LOL, thats just a disguise! Nearly all critters/furbearers have a fairly laid back reaction once they are in a trap for awhile. However, sometimes they are just waiting for you to get inside the "circle of danger"...

Bobcats technically dont live anywhere in our area, however they do roam alot, and often pop up way way outside they normally home range.

I bet your buddy hated turnin loose a potential $100 bill.

Several years ago here in Miamitown, one summer night my wife called me from home saying she was hearing a strange sound coming from the woods, i asked if sounded like coyotes? coons? as a girl that grew up on a farm in Indiana I figured she had probably heard a critter like that before, she still said no and that she was kinda scared, so I told her to lock the doors until I got home. Well I fired up the Pc and found a site that had different animal sounds and info, had her listen to a few and the Bobcat was exactly what she heard. I told her as many deer as there are nowdays, that the preditors are bound to be taking care of the sick and week deers.

Gorgeous! Sightings have increased over the last several years in this area, particularly in the Five Rivers MetroParks. Germantown MetroPark has seen them for quite awhile - at least on game cameras and by tracks along Twin Creek. I added one to the mural I painted at the nature center once Bobcats were confirmed at the park. How did your friend release it?

Now that I don't know. He posted these pics on facebook. He actually has a crazy cool job. In his area (Logan Ohio) he works for some critter company where he deals with trapping nuisance animals. He sent me a video this past summer where part of his job was to go fly a remote control plane in areas to keep geese out of private lakes. Now that would be cool. He lives in Hocking hills area. He has always been an outdoors kid ever since back in the day. One of the best fisherman I ever met to. On his facebook he said this was the first one hed seen in that area all though he had heard there were sightings. I would think the little guy would hurt himself badly when trying to get it out of the trap but on his FB page he said they released it unharmed but the little guy was shook up and VERY PISSED............. Id say a swat to the face from one of those would wake you right up.....
