    Default East Fork Info

Never fished EF. Went by there last week and will probably launch by the dam. Is there any good spots close by and how is the fishing over there. I will be fishing from a boat. Thanks in advance for any info.

I would use your depth finder and look for structure and or drop offs in 10' - 20' of water on that end of the lake and slow troll. Have not been there in months, but that is usually a good summer pattern or cast deeper laydowns...

Fish the big cove straight across the ramp at the dam. Standing timber and laydowns near creek channel.

Lots of crappie were being caught. Not sure how much rain there was this week. If you are crappie fishing, you'll find them on main lake stuff. If you're bass fishing, lots of guys last week were fishing cranks and soft plastic. Look at the threads below. Lots of stuff on EF.

Caught a ton of black crappie today but most were right at 9 inches. They were in 6-8ft of water and we just slow trolled all day. We got pounded from the waves due to all the boats on the main lake but the sights were good. We probably had 40 or 50 keepers but only a kept a few for the grease. They were biting on jigs today, color didn't seem to matter.

Good report AEFISHING. Last weekend I caught practically all blacks, but this weekend in the same spot I got all whites, except 2. Fishing was pretty good until around 10, then they shut down. Ended up keeping 13 10-11'' whites. Should have brought the net though, lost an absolute pig...
