Exactly...I'm not sure we've gained more than a couple new teams. I'm still convinced if you had a chance to fish either Saturday or Sunday with one overall point total (i.e. fish 12 out of 20 to qualify for Championship) and an $50 entry, then you'd have more teams.

Why would you need points if you can qualify if you fish 8 out of 10, or 12 out of 20... @ $50 pay $400-$600 stay home and save the gas and fish the Championship...

I also think you should be able to fish Sat or Sunday for the points, and from the two diff days take the top 50% of the points teams to the Championship 1st day only... the 2nd day only the top 50% from day one should be able to fish for the Championship...

Sounds good to me Larry as long as there is a method to miss some tourneys without being punished in the points. Maybe allow so many tourney points to be thrown out and only count your top scores (like 12 or 14 out of 20). The only reason the points are being used right now is to identify the top 5 teams from Sat. and the top 5 teams from Sun. I think Rick from Furniture Fair put up a prize fund for those teams. I'd be in favor of doing away with that prize and using the fund to go towards the Championship. Taking only the top half in points would encourage guys to fish more if they are around the cut line.
