Found a couple of spots on 7 mile to fish, but there is not a lot of access to streams and rivers in the SW it seems. Any suggestions? The one really good spot I use to fish on Twin Creek got washed out, you can't find off road parking there now due to the erosion from all the rain... That was my favorite fishing spot, I need a Bobcat and some rip rap to get that spot going again, which means it likely is not going to happen...

I need to look into 4 mile for sure, never even heard of Indian Creek, it's on my list now though! I usually boat, but my son really prefers to stream fish, I like both, but perhaps I am a little more of a boat person. I love having everything I want with me... I guess I am just a spoiled American, but I do so love being spoiled....
they both get fished quite a bit, no real secret honey holes or anything.
Just a couple of places off hand where a person could go fish. Try ohio game fishing forum, alot of stream/wade fishermen, im sure you cold get some better specifics than i can give you.

I used to fish the dam on Twin Creek, just outside of Carlisle, west of Franklin. Used to catch some nice smallies and redeye. Rent a canoe from Morgan's and float down the Little Miami. You can catch sm bass, lm bass, crappie, saugeye, redeye and catfish, all on small minnow type cb or Rebel crawfish Tiny Wee crawfish.

Hellgrammite lures are supposed to work well too. Case Plastics supposedly has the most natural looking ones according to some. I also recently bought some Berkly hellgrammites, but have not been stream fishing to try them yet. Many people use seine nets and use real craws and hellgrammites, but I am not that advanced yet.
The wife, son & I rent canoes from scenic river (across from township taverns) a few times a year on the little miami. Their trip take you through the old milford area, have had some decent small mouth & saugeye action through there. Have also done ok in batavia area for small mouth. Ultra light rod, 10lb braid, a few small twister tails, rattle traps, and tubes is usually what I take. Its pretty fun when you get in to the smallys.....have a great one all & God bless

You used to be able to fish between Milford and Camp Dennison on the LMR, but I have heard that they have posted signs to stop people from fishing there now.... Navigable water is a different issue though, so you can fish there from a canoe or a boat. I was thinking about getting the 10' Jon boat from BPS for $499 next year. I hear some of the canoe places will drop your boat/canoe off for a price, less expensive than using theirs. I never have gotten any Rattle Traps, I have some Clack and Rap Rapalas, and some other hard baits that make noise, but I suppose everyone ought to have the venerable Rattle Trap in their arsonal...
Lou.....if your gonna get rattle traps to fish the creeks with, I use the smallest ones wally world has.....Im pretty sure they are 1/8th......they are dye-no-mite for the smallys & eyes......shad & chrome colors....
