    Default Lake Erie Bite??????

Anybody been up yet. I got a story through the grape vine last week that a friends friend's boss has a cottage on one of the channles and caught 50 in a hour the other night. Said the pic of them was really nice ones. Dunno if it is true but sounds good.

Does anyone know if Lake Erie has the same regulations as like EF? 30 crappie and 9 inch minimum?

No limit on Erie for size or number bagged. Last week was my best week so far. Fish were up against the bank. Water temp was 66 degrees. Caught a bunch casting a jig/twister and slow retrieve. Checked condtions thurs. Water temp fell to 54 degrees. Not very good. Gonna go try again today. Will post results.

Saturday ended up with 22 black crappie. Caught lot of small fish as well. Biggest was a 13incher pushing 14. Fish stuffed full of eggs. Didn't catch many good fish against the banks. That seems where the smaller fish were. Sun. hit different spot and got 10 nice keepers. Only fished a little while. Mix of blacks and whites. Some nice big ones again. And again caught smaller fish as well. Fish seemed a little more spotty Sun.

The highs are suppose to fall back to the 60's for highs so I don't see the water temp warming up a ton. It was 62-64 on Sat. and 61-64 on sunday. Should still be fish around Memorial day weekend for sure.

My son and I went up Sunday. We easily caught over a 150 fish. Water tempature did reach 70 degrees. The bigger fish were not on the banks but stacked up about 5 feet out and three to four feet deep.
