I hit CC yesterday testing out the pony weedies and a few others. The water in some coves was blackish. I fished lay downs in the main lake and mouths of coves. I was using chart/grn head and blk/chart grn tail or chart/glitter swim baits. Casting and slowly dragging them just off the bottom through the limbs. I set the hook as soon as I felt any tap at all. I ended the day with 19 keepers. Some were still loaded with eggs and some were spewing them while unhooking and releasing them. The water temp was 80-degree. While getting ready to leave, I ran into two guys from downtown Cincinnati that was fishing the lake for the first time. I asked if they did any good and they had 3 crappies. He said his kids love to watch him clean fish, so I offered him mine. Talk about some big smiles. The temps were in the 90's and cleaning the fish lost its appeal. Overall the pony weedies were a huge success and only lost one. I'll be ordering some blades this week. The hammered Indiana blade worked better than the willow. The small willow blade would stick to the plastic body some times. I pool tested some 00 Colorado’s and they seem to work good also, but the Indiana’s worked the best. Do you guys have any suggestions? I'll try to get some pictures later.
FYI: I've made some micro weedies and doing some testing on them. They passed the rose bush test with flying color...lol.

Those hammered blades are great.
I would think a little larger blade would be good also.
When it's hotter than hell out side....a weedless pony with a little flash and of course a gold hook just falling through a tree top.
Nothing can top that....except maybe adding a (gold w/flake) nibble.
And the prototypes with BLING!!! Yes, these are powder painted and cured rock solid.
