Better check that price again. HDS 8 with LSS1 almost a $1000.00 more than HB 898.

After months of research, I think either unit would be fine. I'm just more familar with Lowrance.

just fyi . purchased hb570dsi. it was new this year and they have bugs to work out. wont work well in water under 15ft. did all kinds trouble shooting with hrs on phone w hb. its in a box going back to them. i realize its not the highest price unit they make. but they r pitching something that doesnt deliver
