    Default Blizzard

It is snowing a friggen blizzard at my house right now. This is ridiculous. I have been trying to get wheat planted since Oct. 20th. Every time I get the ground ready for seed, the next day, it rains. Now it is fricken snowing. Someone is trying to tell me that My wheat planting is over. I am usually racing thanksgiving picking beans. If i had had beans this time, I would have had 475 acres that very little would have been picked due to the delay in wheat planting. I will be lucky at this rate to get the last 130 acres planted which can be done in one day. Just can't get that 1 day to save my life. I thought I was going to have the whole month of November to get cranked up fishing. Its shaping up to be as long as a normal year. Longest year of farming I have ever had. Hurry up and wait. Be glad when this one is over.CF

I feel your pain Ed, 39 degrees, north wind 25 mph makes for wind chill of 28 degrees in Ocean View right now. I've got a job starting Monday, six days a week, six floors of scaffolds to climb every day, one block from the Atlantic Ocean. Makes me think back to when I was 18 at breakfast one morning and Momma told me "stay in school", Dad doesn't even put the paper down and from behind it says To $#@% with school marry money".

Yes NA, right on. Good wheat crop and best corn by far. I got my butt wore out good fashion driving the semi this year. Lines at the elevators sucked too. Waited for 6 hours on one load. Glad it is over. Hopefully tomorrow we will finish the wheat.CF
