Yesterday just before dark I was prepping my truck to pick up a sliding patio door today. As I finished I hear a crackling sound, turn toward my backdoor neighbor's yard and watch a tree fall. A huge bang and smoke at the top of the utility pole. It covered the road, blocking the neighbors beyond me from going and coming.
I came in and grabbed an utility bill and call the outage number. Power was off so I had to go back outside to see. I got it reported and came inside. It was hot already, took a shower and went to eat, where it was cool. Got home at 10:30 and my power was on. The crew was out there working on the lines to my 2 neighbors.
Today, 9 am the city crew showed up to clear the tree off the road.
