We've been going for the past 5 years. We like Riverside for their strict rules, don't know how it is on the other side of the cabins.
All of the campgrounds/outfitters let you out at dam 3. Many Islands has the point below the hatchery to themselves. As you're driving the road to the dam there's a new outfitter, Dam 3 Outfitters. I think they let out about a mile from the dam and pick up before Sadler's falls, don't know if they have another take out.
Son-in-law is a plumber, he'll head up a group with other contractors/workers and rent as many large cabins as needed during cold months for a fishing weekend. I went with a group of 14 others twice with 3 cabins for $80 for 2 nights. We caught lots of fish. Pitch in something on the line of food and bring your own drinks. Danny and I jump in first to claim the 2 queen beds for ourselves.
Not sure of the sinkhole location. While on the river I was told it was below Sadler's Falls, Riverside 2 take out and before dead man's curve. I'm on Riverside facebook group, they had a video of a machine working on the sinkhole. Moving rocks to fill it in.
I saw that Many Islands has a new style float. A lot slimmer than the bulky float they put up to 4 people in. Kinda looks like a pontoon. The ones I saw on the river had 2 people in each with a cooler. Might be about to fit a kid in there too. I would stay there just to rent that float, maybe next time.
Riverside use to have a 15 mile trip. They did away with it because some people took to much time getting there. My first trip at the campground buses were coming in after dark.
I buy the yearly license and stamp for 1 to 4 trips. Wish I knew AR a bit better to fish somewhere closer the rest of the year.
