    Whatever you decide to do please go with a 60 inch shaft, that will make a big difference as well. These guys kill me with 45" shafts on 20 foot plus boat and want to pull cranks for 8 hours a day. I have an 24 volt 80# Ultrex and can pull cranks for 9 hours off two group 29 batteries in an 18' glass boat, most of which I contribute to that extra shaft length.

    Makes a huge difference, I went with the shorter shaft with the Ulterra but I pull from the front, no doubt when we are both in the back of the boat. Long shaft more leverage!! Plus with a Terrova you can leave it up 6 or 8 inches and its easier to stow.
