Wanting to do the same but like you ,it must lock up . I have a 40'x25' slab where a house trailer used to set .

Carolina Carports. Had a 20 x 26 installed a few years ago . They are top notch, and have a lot of options available. Stay away from the pole barns if it were me . Never heard of a metal structure that had termite damage.

Red iron I-beam constructed metal buildings, cost anywhere from $15-$25 per sq. foot. Cost Depends on roof pitch, inside panels, roll-up doors, windows, etc.

I did wood frame metal building with metal roof trusts. Nailed to concrete, like framing a house. Cheaper than metal frame.

Been looking at doing the samething. I saw where TNT carports had an 18x21 for $795. One of the reasons I have not bought a newer boat is bc I don't have anywhere to store it. And you are right pouring a concrete slab is as expensive as the shed.

wood is cheaper than red iron. Wood is not cheaper than the metal carports. I had a metal carport installed for maintenance ease, and longevity. Not necessarily price, but it was a nice bonus that it was cheaper than a wood structure. Why do you bunch of sissys need concrete slabs ??? My boat trailer is setting on a nice limestone gravel pad, and it doesn't seem to mind. Cost about 200.00 in limestone for a 20x26.

I’ll be using mine for more of a shop. Store the boat in one side. Use the other side for mowers, tractors, vehicle maintenance. I like concrete for crawling under a vehicle as opposed to gravel.

i don't know if yall have a lot of them in north ms but down here chicken farms are a huge deal. there are multiple outfits around that build these but they also build pole barns using the chicken house trusses. these trusses cutdown tremendously on the amount of wood needed to roof it. i have a friend that just built a 40 by 40 with 3 inclosed sides a roll up door, two windows, and a standard walkin door. i think he had about $4800 in it not counting the slab.
