I got one better than that Bill. I happen to know someone with a 60 hp rig that may not even make it to the darned lake without a mishap. They definitely cannot load or unload successfully while unassisted.

Sure hope they would at least try to get the fools out of these boats soon!!
Its very easy to be on the lake and spot them.

Well said, I know folks who want to see how fast their boat goes. And do it regular, to adjust this or that. I haven't a clue how fast mine goes, nor care.

I might run mine wide open for short runs (5 minutes at a time or so) in open water without traffic. They actually need to run WOT some when they’re new to seat the rings. To seat the rings properly, the engine must reach max temps. Ask Wilbur what happens if ya don’t.

That being said, I very seldom run my engine anywhere near WOT after I get through the break in phase and seat the rings.

I just never could understand why people are in such a hurry fishing. Now I might go a little faster to get there but when I’m there. I just try and enjoy myself. Guess that’s why I don’t tournament fish. Think god know one was killed

Any more details on how this happened? Just plain lucky nobody got hurt or killed. That could have gone way worse than a torn up boat or two.

I heard one of them slowed to make a turn from the main channel to the Browns landing channel and cut right in front of the other boat running behind him.
