Guess it's as warm as it's going to get today. I need to check on, feed and water my animals. I saw raccoon tracks in the snow so I'll set a couple of traps while out.

Back when the valve was swapped on the 20 lb propane tanks I picked up a bunch from people's trash piles. You could swap them for a refilled tank with the new valve back then. Then they started charging a fee if you swapped in an old style. Anyone that wanted to do that I would give them an old style tank and a coupon that cost them $3 for the swap. I have 17 new style and 4 old style, only 5 filled.
I have a jet heater that I can hook up to a tank if need be. I used it a few years back when power was off for 2 days. It stinks and dries the air to much and had to keep some windows open. I had to snort water so I could blow my nose.
U sure it was water u were snorting.....Heater Heater Heater Heater this has been a very entertaining post and im not even to the 10th page yet lol.

Made it to 27 here, went while everything was frozen and filled up the deer feeders so as to not tear up the ground bad. Needs to warm up so I don't have to buy anymore feed, will feed as long as it stays hard cold.
Hope you catch the coons, squirrels wearing my feeders out!!

That was a great auction story . Thanks for sharing. We got goats having babies. I hate January/ February kids. Lost 1 that kidded in the middle of the night . They can't always get um dried off before they freeze in these temps.

Yep, water with a vitamin E capsule busted in it. A trick I learned from a coworker years ago.

Just had a customer call in some night work tomorrow starting at 9pm tomorrow night OUTSIDE. I took it seeing how slow we been as of late, be like an ice skating rink out there doing wet sawing with the temps in the low 20's. We can call it saw cutting ice capades, or throw in a puck and some sticks and some hockey perhaps. Anyone wanna come play goalie?

I looked, no sardines here to bait the trap so I used tuna, hope it works. The tuna is some brand I've never heard of. Got it at the auction, a case of 48 cans for $15. I bought it to add to the chicken's warm treat.

My son wants goats. He bought a place and wants them to clean up the under brush. I see them for free on a website, waiting for him to buy fence material.
