During the winter we don't breath good when it's to warm. We've been to some stores wishing we could remove some clothes because of their heat, just cut our shopping quicker or short. When I was a kid dad kept the house at 75 during the night and 81 during the day. Wondered why I was always sick. I would sleep under a sheet. When he got sick the doctor told him to lower the heat.

Go back a few years. Mom had a 32X32 building built in the backyard, no problem with a permit. They planned to live there until the house was built, they never moved in. Couldn't get a permit for it's location on this half of property. If moved down hill 100 ft they could, she didn't want to build there. This house would be removed then.
The state was to buy property from this place south to the scales on I-55 for an interchange at Starlanding rd in 2016 to open in 2019. No mail from the state has been delivered yet. No work has been done north of Starlanding, very little work has been done south of Starlanding. There are 30 homes and a church between me and Starlanding in the project area, none have emptied yet.

I didnt get any mail from the state when they built a 4 lane highway thru my farm...they came to see me when the surveying started.....they did not start working on construction untill they had met with all land owners involved.... then they paid us before they started.

With 30 homes and a church between you and star landing Rd , what makes you think they'll buy the property your on ? How long are these ramps , like 4 miles ? Believe I'd be getting a propane tank. Had a buddy that thought he was going to cash in on i69 . They moved interstate 1/2 mile due to negotiations, and rained on his parade.

4 miles north of Starlanding is hwy 302, Church rd interchange is between them. The church is a good distance east of I-55 and they want 4 houses east of it, to Hunter rd.

It will happen, remember when all that was wide open country with cows on it, wish I would have bought a couple hundred acres 40 years ago.

The whole length was suppose to open in November. If you remember a big rain came through a bit before that time. An engineered culvert wasn't large enough. No road damage, haven't heard what will be done. Wet weather has delayed lane painting. ??? Yea. Hernando people I've talked with are pissed. There's an interchange at Tulane, I-55 and Getwell rd. I hear, what about an interchange at Odom rd/Robertson rd, hwy 51, McIngvale rd?
I watch traffic headed south most everyday on I-55 from my yard about 3:30 pm till dark, for now. If you like to sit or go slow it's your best time to be out there.

John, I remember Sealtest, Dean's, Forest Hill, Turner, Midwest milk and products. Dairy farms with Horn Lake,MS addresses bought out to build Southaven homes with a Whitehaven,TN address/zip code. Yep, can still send mail to family's Whitehaven address faster than their Southaven address.
Southaven post office 38671 was in the Gaymart center, Gay farm/dairy on Stateline, now Desoto Plaza with nothing much left. There is no 38671 post office now. I have package tracking showing it at 38671 for a day then transferred to 38672. I've asked about that, can't get an answer.
Horn Lake wanted an interchange at Nail rd and I-55 for warehousing. Southaven built the South Crest Mall and helped the no one sided interchange rule for the state. Wait, Papermill interchange was built after that.
