By the time that heater arrives, the big momma's will be spewing eggs, and we will be fishing in shorts, t-shirt, flip flops, and sunglasses!!

Granddaughter left for the today and I've been puppy sitting. To keep the two down a bit I take over the recliner and watch my eye lids for a while. They head for the front door wanting to tear something up badly. I can see a truck at the road then the doorbell rings. The pups go wild again. As the truck pulls off I open the door. There is a small package at the bottom of the steps. It's a set of lights that has a tracking date delivery of 01/22. I check my email, it's in Oklahoma City.
Maybe Heater company will make a concession for taking so long to deliver . Wouldn't hurt to try , worst they could do is send it back. Don't think you'll need it for a week or so now, supposed to warm up tomorrow. May have time to pick 1 up at a auction.
Got to know the retail price of what they have at the auction for sure. The (new) items they have are from overstock, returns and/or damaged. A seller may buy a truck load for almost nothing. If it's electric you need to check it before leaving or return it next sale. They may quote a high end store retail price, I don't shop at them.
At a Goodwill store there were a lot of the milk house heaters in their box, missing the handle for $8. They work good for a season or 2 before the thermostat goes out or the fan quits. They retail for about $18/$20. A seller had them at an auction and the bidding stopped at $25, or $27.50+ to get out the door.
Ice is melting
Yep, can see pavement in the footprints in the snow still at front door.
Dang . Where is everybody? Anyone got a good air fryer story they want to share ?
I figured by now Cane would have come up with a plan to use 2 flower pots, a light bulb and computer fan to make a air fryer.
That snicker thing sounds good . I'll have to be careful though, wife already wants a dadgum airfryer . I've told her crappie is a very lean meat , even deep fried. She'll really not like me deep frying candy bars . Can a airfryer owner do a snickers and let us know how it turns out ??
Cane can cook one in a flower pot with a heat lamp......dont know why he wants a heater anyway.....think about it lol:Rofl
If I remember right there were a lot of commits deleted on that flowerpot heater thread. A few members that I don't see post anymore. Some think it's a joke. If you don't have one or haven't tried one, HUSH. Just because my heat isn't above 70 doesn't mean I'm not warm. It's 64 in here now, I'm in a T shirt, boxers and flip flops and wet with sweat.
I remember someone brought up the idea of a bucket AC unit for the boat. I asked how the work was going on it. Oh, I brought up the idea, figured you'd build it. Hey, it's not my idea, all yours.
The last was steps for our trailers. I've got some material and a welder, waiting on the others.
I'm going to have me a cold PBR to see if I can cool off some.
An add on to #133.
My granddaughter is 5 years old. She was born during one of our fall camps. During the prep of that camp some members told what their plans were. Other members, I know what your campsite looks like. I've camped in MS since before I can remember, I think I know all the rules.
I made a commit of what extras I would have if anyone needed anything. Well, rangers came in and made a point of what they couldn't do. Some member redid their campsites and some left. I left sunday with extras that were never used.
:popcorn
This morning 8 am I went to the website where I bought the heater and filled out the form asking where or what happened during delivery since it was so close. I took a nap from 11:45am till 1:15pm so I guess that could have happened yesterday. The reply at 10:25 pm was, item was sold by second party and info has been turned over to them.
Another campaign agenda . When you get elected mayor of Southaven, TN , get all Core lakes turned over to the state. State should be in charge of them , not Feds.
I’m glad it’s warming up. No homemade heaters needed. Only problem I’m having now is dodging these things in the road. Attachment 286560

Here's the email that was in my box this morning.
I apologize for the inconvenience caused. We have gone ahead and re-dispatched the order again. Please note the following tracking number which will be track-able in the next 12 hours via ups: Once again I apologize for the inconvenience caused. And greatly appreciate you as a customer.
(re-dispatched the order again) are they sending me 2 heaters?
If they do you can sell one at the auction
Sounds like the first order got lost in transit
Since it was more than 48 hours from the time it showed in transit from Memphis to Olive Branch, the road conditions we had during that time to the entry, can't deliver I think the truck was wrecked. Did they go through the load and pick out items that could be delivered or claim the whole load? Won't sell the extra at the auction, sit it back as a spare, never know when these things go out. Granddaughter could use it out in the building.
Anyone close by have fresh cow's milk for sale or know of someone? Daughter-in-law bought an electric churn at an auction for $10 and wants to try making butter. I asked her about goat's milk, no, can't eat goat's cheese so don't want to try butter.
Try farmers market at Hernando maybe? There was a small dairy selling products there . Why not buy a Jersey cow , any provide her the milk yourself?
That will be Saturday afternoon, right?
I can't have a cow here in Southaven by city codes and their lot isn't big enough to have one.
Not sure about winter hours or summer for that matter. That's a code you need to fix when elected mayor !!!
The guy that supplies the milk in Hernando has his dairy in Oxford
As long as it has taken to get a heater if I was you I would order a AC window unit cause it will eventually get 100 degrees and maybe it will be here by then
Talking with a person at the stables on Church rd. If the horses are removed, say going other places for a show there has to be at least one left behind or it will be closed.
Yep, every yard no matter the size could be a farm.
You need to bid on a coffee table at the auction or make one out of a old cooler you have in the junk pile
