And we really appreciate all of the volunteer efforts that are made. It is a huge part of cleanup days, habitat days, and many other special events that wouldn't be possible without the volunteers.

dont know your affiliation with COE , but while we're on this subject.... can you share any input on the river ramp on Hwy 7 ? Like .. what were they thinking? Tons of taxpayer dollars was wasted on that project. The idea was great , but ramp is only accessible a few months out of the year. Why don't they dredge a channel from river bed to ramp ?

State regulations wouldn't allow the ramp to go directly into the river. I agree that it is troublesome and a fix to it is in the works but may take years to get the required funding. An attempt is made to clean it out several times each year but it silts back in as soon as the river comes up and falls.
