I understand what you are saying, I've been there before and the deer are obviously used to human contact. However I really don't see any difference between the thinning of the herd being done by state personnel or hunters. If they are overpopulated to their on detriment. Maybe it could be made open only to the handicapped, elderly hunters, or the needy.
