That was too good to be true! If them boats were priced like that, we all would be in fancy Rangers.

    Yep. We were pretty upset.

There was an ice one out in Texas but I can't find the link anywhere now.

Speaking from experience. The merc xb 250's that are on a lot of the early 2000's boats are the thirstiest engines that have ever been produced short of the true merc racing engines. It was nothing to burn a $100 worth of oil and premium in a weekend. More if you wanted to go fast. I ran one for 4 years. I just didn't want it to come as a shock to someone if they found one. It was unbelievable how much it drank.

Arkansas and Missouri seem to have the most of them when I was looking for one. I ended up buying a 521 just because I'm a Yamaha fan and they are really hard to find with a Yamaha.
But...once you buy one, you'll see them everywhere for sale!!

I have an 03 521 nascar 35th anniv. Did some spec checking and found the weight to be 1950 lbs just like the 02 522. Length is only a few inches difference. Include the 521's in your search and you should find more possibilities.

I ain't buying the ranger as the end all be all, but it's close to the top for spider rigging. That said, it ain't the weight that gives it the edge. If it was, the new BC jag would be what you want. And you could get one for $80k as long as you didn't rig it too much. Perone mentioned the locker lids, none of these would give you a problem. The TR21 would but not the 22.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
