Me and you have the same boat I am more of a jig fisherman but do like pushing minnows and pulling cranks I went to a 70lb hand control with the built in maximizer. I would never go back with nothing smaller I also had to build a shelf and managed to get all my batteries in the back I also mounted charger under my console had to extend the leads but you don't even know it there.
