Thread: Cheap minnows

Well after Church today I came home eat dinner and decided I would need some more minnows for this next weeks crappie fishing. Went out to the shed got my 1/4' mesh 5' cast net, a old ice chest and a coffee can of the wife's chicken pellet feed and to the family catfish pond I went. Caught enough in just a few throws to supply my 2 - 100 gallon minnow vats and a friends 50 gallon minnow vat. If you want cheap minnows try checking the local farm ponds near you, never know you may have some cheap minnows also. Planning on aggravating some of them crappie this next week if the weather will permit. Hope everyone is having a good crappie fishing spring.
