One of the county high school ROTC's came to the Enid trash pickup and it looked like you had run a vacuum cleaner
behind them.

The high school ROTC unit had a camp out friday at Camp Currier. I drove down for trash pick up at noon then on down to the spillway to fish some jigs yesterday. I caught one 6" crappie and a bucket full of white bass. The crappie was released and the bass came home for chicken feed.

I don't know all the schools that have ROTC or how the board helps with any funding. The marine corp gives them targets and pellets for half price is about it. Everything else they pay full price if not donated. The county charges them per mile for the use of the buses. They just emptied their funds to buy 4 new uniforms. Their best fund raiser is car washes. They want to send a few cadets to Paris Island for a week during the summer. Looks like the parents will tote that note.
I gave the Lt. Col a list of habitat and clean up days at the lakes for use as community service. They just don't have the money for the buses.

Better than catching nothing at all, I reckon. Don't think we lost a whole lot of fish out the spillway this winter. At least I never heard of, or seen anyone wearing them out. Snaggers were working hard as heck for a few fish here and there.

Jimmy..p/m me the info to send a donation to the ROTC..I'll send them a donation...I got some fishing money I can't use till I get well...
I'm in also. Send me a mailing address.
Tell'em I'll be there.
Make checks/money orders payable to LCHS MCJROTC Booster Club. I talked to my daughter-in-law, she's on the board. The moneys can be sent to me, since I'm at the school 2 to 6 times per week. I'll pm my address.
If you have a Kroger points account. Go to kroger community rewards dot com, enter NPO# 52386, you'll get a comp for Lake Cormorant High School. The school gets the funds from Kroger, the ROTC booster club gets 12%. This doesn't affect your points in any way.

I received a check (donation) in the mail today. Turned over to the LCHS MCJROTC for deposit into their funds.
Thank you very much.
My oldest grandson was Staff Sargent friday. Saturday he was promoted to Platoon Sargent first block. Today he was promoted to Gunnery Sargent. No extra stripe on his shoulder, just extra bars on his chest.
When I got into the class/pt room today there were 6 football players wanting to work out with the cadets during pt training. Seems they don't get a good workout during football training. I've seen these cadets afterwards. They are soaked, red faced and out of breath.
