Default Mr Crappie Solo reels question

does anybody use the Mr Crappie Solo reels for there trolling rods? I have one on my jig pole and I love how easy it is to strip line out if needed and I am thinking since I dont ever reel very often while spider rigging these may work good....any opinions on this? I hate using the spinning reels that I have now, just curious if anyone has used these for their trolling rods

I finally settled on baitcasters with thumbar and flipping switch. It's really nice not to have to turn the handle to engage the reel.

The man that owns and sells Southern Crappie Rods has changed over to and sells a reel very similar to the Solo reel. It is just a little larger and has the longer stem. Watched one of his videos and they seemed to work fine. Think he gets around 14.00 for them. Have searched the net for a better price but can't find the one with longer stem. I use Baitcasters with Thumbar put toying with the idea of the solo. Like the idea of the lighter weight.

bought 4 off eBay this morning for $17/each. There were some for $7 but the shipping was like 10/each so I just went with the people that were not trying hide the cost. Wish I would have thought about grizzly but too late now.
