When I built my 40x60 shop for my taxidermy studio, I installed factory seconds white metal on my ceilings on 4 foot center rafters. It was the best $$ I spent on the building since it is plenty strong for any thickness of blown-in insulation and I can put screws anywhere in the metal for light fixtures without having to worry about finding a rafter. The white color also makes lighting much easier. I will do the same in my boat storage garage when I get to that point.

Been wanting a new to me glass boat but I'm trying to get a few things in order to retire and I don't think the wife would go for either one of them. Lol

Any particular reason that you chose wood frame over steel frame ?
Yeah. Thought about both. I have a steel 50x40 at the farm and it has held up well. About 35 years old now. I came down to cost, and how easy it would be for me to add walls or shelves or lights..... wood is easier to work with for me.

Yeh...My steel frame is 40 years old now and just fine.....I did replace the metal roof five years ago tho.
Price was the main reason for my pole barn as well as the reasons you mentioned. They dug my holes and set the poles and filled the hole about half way with concrete. Then in a couple of days they poured the slab and the rest of the hole with concrete.
