I've been using food saver for over ten years. Bought a new one couple years ago just because I wanted the tall upright style. Works great!

been using a Foodsaver Vacuum sealers for 5 years now my 1st one my mother is still using and the one I got now is 2 years old and working great !!! I don't have to flash freeze my fillets and never lose a bag either !!! if you got a bad Foodsaver vacuum sealer that can happen with any brand !!! but wouldn't call the brand garbage especially when buying one from Cabelas !!!

I've been using Food Savers for as long as I can remember. Bought a 100 dollar unit and used it for 8-10 years before it croaked (moisture finally got the pump). I bought a new one 3-4 years ago. It's a GameSaver model I think it's called the Big Game. Great sealer. It has a deep moisture tray and you can seal wet fish or spaghetti sauce. It's a nice machine. Online at Walmart for 199.00. I got mine at Bass Pro for that same amount. Mine is a few years old and looks a little different but it's the same machine. The Titanium model for $330 looks like a killer model. I buy the 50' bulk rolls of bags at Cabelas. On sale right now for just under 18.00 per roll for the 11"x50' rolls.

FYI. When you store your sealed bags in the freezer, make sure you don't just throw them around after they're frozen. You can tear the bag material if you don't handle them properly.

I have been trying to find ways to less complicate my life and freezer paper seems to be the whey to go,no need to stock pile meat that wont be eaten.
