I have found that by not putting the trolling motor all the way down I could get more speed. That's on a tin boat as well. A good test would be to drop it all the way down and run it on rabbit. See how fast your running and then pick the motor up a bit and test it again. I would be willing to bet there is going to be a midway spot that you get the most speed, and to me that's gonna help you save some battery.

I was curious about if the trolling motor companies offer different props for maximum thrust and efficiency under different conditions and I came across this site.I don't know if any of this info will help but they have a page where you can ask questions and get answers about most brands of trolling motors, batteries, accessories.https://www.trollingmotors.net/blogs...tibility-guide

I've got one of these props for a Terrova 80. I couldn't tell there was much difference but I didn't do any real comparison. I just tried it out for awhile. I still have it, but I just use the factory prop with the Golf Cart batteries. No problem for as long as I want to fish in this heat.
We only sell the Best. Ranger, Xpress, Yamaha, Suzuki, Tohatsu.
