Anybody been by there in awhile or launched a boat since the water has receded? Last time I was over that way (middle of May) water was up to the outhouses. It was technically closed, but had a few diehards launching anyway.

It is but I think you can still get to the ramp from the north side.

Haven't been down hwy 51 in a while. Can't get to 51 landing from the Coldwater side. We have launched boats between hwy 51 and the restrooms for ages. Long before the restrooms were built. Long before there was an asphalt off of 51. Have camped off the old Hernando/Coldwater road too.
You can get there from the Hernando side. There are a couple of houses past the barricade so there is a gap in it. Now you can't get to the bridge but you can get to the ramp. It's usable.

Thanks Kdavid, I will remember that next weekend. Looking for a change of scenery and technique, may try some river crappie next weekend. Got whooped on Butla today, found them in several locations stacked up like firewood they just didn't want my cranks I reckon. Not like they needed them, most bait fish I ever seen in my life this morning, guessing they was full as ticks already and not in need of nutrition from those plastic baits![]()
