I stopped wearing mine when I was drag racing because I could never keep it clean. When I went into the chemical industry, I never gave wearing it a 2nd thought. My wife probably knows where mine is. She'll probably bury me with it on.

My Dad worked heavy construction most of his career. He got his band hung in crane rigging while working on a dam project and got swung out over the river, 100 feet up. It bent the crap out of the ring and bruised his finger badly but he kept his hand and his butt. Once he retired, he started wearing it again.
