If you got the money, they got the boat. F&F is sorta famous for building anything you can dream. War eagle, xpress etc can take a standard boat and modify it by a wide margin. Then there's some new kids on the block that I sorta have a crush on, Edge, Havoc etc. All of these would work with you on customization.....$$$$.
Now these are basic metal boats..no carpet,little storage (relative) and you still get the metal boat ride.
The tax 17 you riding is severely pinched in the nose, despite the nice beam at back. Most of the ones above will carry more beam forward, but if you stick on 17 long, you will most likely be limited. 18 is generally the next notch for the wider beams.
Personally, on a budget, I'd be looking for a good duck boat without a motor and a good metal shop to do anything really custom.
I've got the looks and you got the money though.
