Default Lake master water level offset

Has anybody ever use the depth water level offset on Grenada with their lake master is it accurate and any tips on how to do it?

When you launch your boat just look at your contours, adjust the offset until the contours and the water depth match. Should be like minus 15 or so right now and yes it works very well. Also highlite everything 5 foot and less as shallow water and it will help a lot too.

After using Lakemaster cards for a few years, I wouldn't want to have to go back to the other brand. Being able to highlight a certain depth is critical for me to troll most of the areas I do on KY and Barkley Lakes.

Yes, the level off-set works great everywhere I have used mine. I usually set my shallow water red zone at 4 feet deep. It's scary to put in that water offset and see how many red areas show up 1/2 miles from shore here.

Yes. Very important this time of year to set it- make the lakemaster depth the same as your depth finder depth- then highlight shallow water. I also highlight from 5 to 10 feet. Once you set it it doesn't matter if your sonar is on your trolling motor. Pull it in and the gps and your map will show you where you are and the highlighted depth changes around you or ahead of you. Very cool.

If anyone has a clue as to when Barnett will be added to the Lakemaster, please post.

Mr. Gene, they have it listed on the chart select and I was told it's on the latest version of the plus cards. I'm haven't bought one yet so I really can't say for sure.
