Bit of an update--as of Monday Sophie has been taking the piroxicam (a cox inhibitor) for a week. Now this medication is an nsaid (like advil, tylenol, etc)
Other than Chemo this is the treatment. Doc said she would bleed alot that first 24hrs and the medication is supposed to shrink the tumor. Well she barely bleed after the initial spell and zero since the day after starting the med. As of Monday the tumor had ALREADY shrunk!!!!! Now with TCC cancer her time is still numbered but she is acting just like she always has for the most part--it's pretty incredible. Still sad as this type of cancer will if not already spread but as of right now we feel pretty good.
