    What's the best to get and are the 4 stroke ones any good?

    Echo... I have two, one with a blade and one conventional. I've had the conventional for more than 10 years and an echo gas leaf blower for twenty years...

    I have a Stihl weedeater. been good so far. It is two stroke though.
    You are welcome to come to the house and try it out for a couple of hours.

    I have a Toro 4stroke. No problems so far in 2 years. Only problem is it's heavier than the 2 strokes. Not balanced very well. It puts all the weight on the motor end. Will tire your arm out pretty quick. And it doesn't seem as powerful as the other 2 strokes I've had. I guess that's the trade off. It's a lot more reliable and easy starting.

    I have a 4 stroke. To heavy for me. Went back to my old one.
