You will be happy with the echo. That's what I have and I'm very pleased. Did you get the one that is easy to restring where you line the holes up on the head and insert string, it is auto fed?
Stihl . My last one lasted 18 yrs. just got a new one . Get what you pay for . jmo.![]()
Let the engine cool, spray the gas cap and around it with engine degreaser, let soak some and spray clean with a water hose. Let dry before adding more gas.
When I was working I charged $15 to clean the carb on gas trimmers. Most of the time I could let them sit for 24 hours and see the trash in the tank.
I have the Stihl 4 stroke and it is a powerful machine. Have a small still that is about 20 years old that still gets the job done. Been doing a lot of reading latley and that echo gets rave reviews from everyone. Plus 5 year warranty can't be beat. Most of your commercial guys are swapping over to them. Easy start and that auto line feed is great. If that's what you got it should last as long as you want to weed eat.

Stihl weed eater, chainsaw, leaf blower, and edger. Prefer the bent shaft on the weed eater. Chain saw gets cranked about once a year. Takes about eight or ten pulls but It will crank. It is ten or twelve years old. I over winter all of them with Sea Foam in the gas.
Tell'em I'll be there.
I prefer the Stihl products. Have 3 different size chainsaws & a couple of the weedeaters. I like the bentshaft model over the straight. Seems to be easier on my back.
