Never done it......I always cook my burgers on the grill. Google it and see what you find.

Some meats such as burgers, steaks, small cuts of chicken, etc. (as well as most vegetables) are much better off being grilled due to the heat to cause some sort of charring to seal in moisture and flavors. Your burger might end up tasting like a meat loaf, which isn't bad now that I think of it - but not the same to me as "charbroiled". Think of a thick steak as smoked, it would probably taste like a roast. I smoke and grill alot. Don't have a Masterbuilt, do the smoking thing the regular (or I guess, the old fashioned) way. Just giving you my thoughts.

I can't hardly eat stuff cooked with charcoal any more. It gives me bad indigestion and I love the taste. It used to not bother me.
