I won't say that it was any one thing that made me change my mind, but yes, the writing on the reels appears to be in Chinese. So there was that. But hey, I hit a home run with the $7 baitcast Shakespeare reels that fishing tackle liquidators had going on a few years ago, so I rolled the dice again.
