Great info guys....thanks a bunch. My Trevorra is a 70 lb'er. Will changing over to a 24v tempt me to 'over power', if you can, this TM?? And if so, what possible damage to the TM should I be cautious of? Thanks fellas, I'm learning.

Speck is right.....your 70 Lb. motor is a 12 volt.........80 lb. and above are 24 volts. But yes......Instead of wireing your two batteries in series for 24 volts.....Wire them in parallel for 12 volts and you will have twice as much run time.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Coach, hook a size 6 gage wire positive to positive and neg to neg. That gives you just 12 volts from 2 batteries. Hook troller to positive and neg of same battery. Batteries really need to be pretty close in size and age. But it will really extend run time without the hassle of changing battery out on the lake.
Yes it will when the batteries are in parallel. Hook your chargers negative lead to the negative post on one battery, then the positive lead to the positive post on the other battery. It will charge through both of them. It will take longer to bring them to full charge but it works
