    Put out chains and put on rain suit, thats what i do.

    I pole fish. Rain-yes. Lightening and thunderstorms with excessive winds-no. Kind of risky sitting out there waiting to see how bad it "might" get. But yeah, I understand what you are saying MrGoodtime. I fished 2 weeks last year in 15-20 MPH winds. Took a chance riding across stump fields in 4 foot waves in order to get to spots just fishable. Don't take but one stump and bad news. Would never do it alone but had another boat with me.

    Yep. Here's how bad one got last week. Cut me off from the truck with 60 MPH winds, large damaging hail, continuous cloud to ground lightning, and torrential rain. This is the "good" part of the weather. This is when I realized it was a death wish to try to get back to the truck. Be careful and respect the weather.

    I saw that video. Glad you are safe and were prepared to stay outdoors. Rough night for sure.
