Mmmmm. I like the sound of an 18 year old scotch, but I can only imagine that it ain't cheap. I love the Glenlivet 12 year old. It's the priciest I've been able to bear buying so far at $40ish a bottle. I want to try their 18 year old stock but it's a little more than double that. I've been told that getting beyond 18 years is pushing scotch, but I don't know if there's anything to that or not. I sure ain't about to drop the Benjamins for no 20+ bottles.

Truth is that it's hard to beat Old Grand-Dad. At $18.00 a fifth and 100proof, it is a fine, fine drink. I don't think it's our Irish blood that makes us like a Scottish product I think it's our American Blood that makes us appreciate fine things like hard liquor!
