    I agree with overkill on conductor size. #4 awg tinned copper. Be sure to use tinned copper conductor. You won't have near the problems with corrosion.

    Ding Ding, we have a winner. I learned my lessons and spent the money. I got mine off ebay but I guess he sold out. Here's a Ebay link for $1.70 a foot. 4 AWG Gauge Black Ancor Marine Tinned Copper Boat Battery Cable Wire 20' MIN | eBay

    so if im needing 16 feet of this wire in the link i really need 32 feet because i will need a piece to run both positive and negative correct? i am an idiot when it comes to wiring and electricity

    That is correct...... and get two different colors so you can keep them straight. Either black and white or black and red.
