    Default Boat Trailer Incident.....Again

Steve and I fished Okatibbee today and on my way home I noticed in my mirror that my driver's side trailer wheel was at a 45 degree angle. I got pulled off of the road just as the wheel came off. Nothing was hot, it looks like the outside bearing broke allowing the hub to come off of the spindle. This is the second time this has happened. I'm thinking the problem is the fact that I have a single axle trailer with the weight of my boat. I have a torsion axle on my trailer and maybe that's the problem. I just don't know. Luckily, I had a spare hub with packed bearings in the tool box of my truck so I was back on the road in an hour or so. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Was a stroke of luck that you noticed it in time.....could have been bad if it had come off going 70 down the highway

Only fix is a new boat. Steve would look good in a Basscat.

Or a dual axle trailer, you got one? By the way I cleaned 7 fish and 4 had small egg pods.
