I got a Galaxy S5 Active yesterday and I'm trying to learn how to use it. Before when I texted Steve it would go to his iPad and apparently to his email address. I don't know how. It hasn't worked so far on the Galaxy.

I have the same phone too--should be some way to do it--

i went to text messageing typed in my email address and then sent it to my email address and it come as a text to my email. I have att if that makes a difference or not I dont know.

I think that's just a short cut to sending a email and its not really a text......and that will not work on my Galaxy S3....when I try it it asks for a phone number.....so I have to just go the regular email route to do that.

Did you know that every AT&T mobile number has a corresponding email address? If you send an email to that address, your email is delivered to the device as a text, picture, or video message. You can also send a text, picture, or video message to any email address from your wireless device.

Just did it on mine and it worked like a charm, entered the email and them the message and hit send. Couple of minutes later I got the email and it came from my [email protected] and I think the vtext is an app I have downloaded. returned a message and got it in a text so it will work. Some folks cant use their phone at times but can look at emails all day long and vise versa, has its place I guess.

I clicked on the link and it sent me to Verizon. Maybe AT&T has something like that.
