I've pulled with the 12' but wanted to know if the 16 will work without too much bend.

I don't like em for cranks, don't like psts either, tips are easy to break. Wanna try the Southern Crappie Rods, hearing good things about them. I do use BGJP for longlining

Pst is all I troll with. I broke 4 rod tips when I started using them 3 seasons ago haven't broke another yet. Went threw a bad batch. Pull in some heavy cats in with them while cranking. Love the action detects bites very well.

Have the 18' pst and I like it. Never tried to bgjp, but would buy another 18' if this one ever broke. Holds up well, line breaks before rod does

I've pulled with the BGJP 12'ers, but after awhile, the broke about 6-8" up from the joint. I was told by BnM not to pull cranks with them. They did however replace two of the tip sections for me on the ones I broke.

I have had good luck with all my PST's also ( all 10 of them) and I have had them hung up rod bent under the boat....big catfish and even a huge carp and they are still hanging in there no problems.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.
