    Default Trace Lake Bream

Went to Trace Lake this morning to get one more trip in before I have surgery next Wed. Caught lots fish and good times with my son and his best friend. Fished from 6:00 to 11:00. Didn't keep count but we used almost 200 crickets and caught a lot of throw backs. Fish we're scattered. Caught them in 5 to 18 feet tightlining. Beds we tried were empty. I hope to be out fishing again in about a month!Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1405190677.952130.jpg

That's a good mess to make a few meals. Hope all goes well with the surgery.

Nice eating right there! I caught the biggest bluegill I ever caught out of Trace Lake. My wife caught the biggest redear I 've ever seen caught out of Lake Lamar Bruce a few years ago. I'm ready for that lake to open back up next summer, even though it will still probably take a few years for the fish to get as big as they was.

Thank y'all for all the good thoughts. Ended up with 47 fish. We let his friend carry them to his daddy. Not many real big ones but plenty big to eat. Trace is not as good as it use to be. But at least they got the grass and weed problem under control.
