    Aside from the zoo, your list is basically East Memphis. Bass Pro and the shopping malls are all east. Jim's suggestion in Germantown would be a good location if you think you'll spend most of your time shopping. The zoo is near Midtown, which is an interesting area for restaurants and kids' activities, but the nearest hotels (that you would want to stay in) are downtown.

    Keep the paper bags close by .
