Shouldn't hurt anything but doubt its needed, I run a radio and the livewells pumps for hours and still crank with no issues.

Ok guys, I am looking to to do some bowfishing when I get the new boat. Have a generator running lights, just curious about charging the cranking batt while listening to music on the boat. Will it hurt anything?

Good deal. I'll have the onboard charger if needed. I just know we usually fish 5-7 hrs and don't crank the outboard but maybe once during that time.
Turning a CD will draw a lot more amps than you think, but radio and mp3, no issue.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

if you running a regular genny to power the lights, you won't be able to hear a radio.

Look on ebay at an Iota...these are power supplies that will keep your batteries up.heck you can get one that will pull your trolling motor with minimal batteries.just look at there input wattage to determine if you have enough genny.
