Yep, that thing wasn't designed for towing. Friend just had to put a tranny in a F250 he pulls a loaded trailer with every day. Never used the tow mode. Bushing went out and let shaft ride up and planaterys wore a hole through top of case and puked all the oil out. Said it made to much noise in tow mode.

Wow--dont know what year that 250 was--but the one on mine is about the best trans ford ever made-dang near bullet proof. Course the 5r55s on the explorer is the worst.
