I have the 899 with the internal, been on the water with it half dozen times or so and it has performed very well. When I first got it I hooked it up in the house to mess with it, acquired very quickly even in the house. Its not an issue as far as I can see and gonna make the unit WAY more portable, I too like to have it where I can more it from one boat to the other when needed.

It's a tough pill to swallow I promise. I'm pricing out trailers to replace my stolen flatbed... Just makes me sick. Hate it happened to ya, I know units aren't cheap and once ya get used to working one it stinks to have to learn it all again
