We use em to catch Eyes in Arkansas. Greers Ferry Lake near Heber Springs AR. is home of the World Record Walleye.

I heard that the record was broken recently, but we have some Nice Eyes in AR.

When is the best time to go over there and pull cranks for them?

We do it at night at Bull Shoals Lake around the Full Moon this month thru June. We hold the rod in our hand with the cranks barely clicking the bottom and troll the points in 15-20' of water. The Eyes come up late in the afternoon and night to feed on the bedding bream. We also use bottom bouncers and during the day we use spoons in wood cover in 20-30' of water.

Cody Smith guides at Greers, and he casts a 1/8 jig head with a crawler on it there. Cranks work there also. Ask Creekslick on the AR board.

We catch them on these baits best. We use the Blue/Silver and the Black/Silver in the 31/2" size. The Blk/Sil is the best. They'll hit any type bait tho. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Cabel...t=Banana+baits

I've caught lots of crappie on em also. They make a 21/2" size but I've never used them.
